Audience Insights provide qualitative information about various Twitter audiences.
To get a list of all available_audiences for an advertiser account, see GET insights/accounts/:account_id/available_audiences.
Availability of audience types will vary across advertiser accounts.
To get insights for a specific advertiser account, see GET insights/accounts/:account_id.
You can request audience insights by supplying a valid audience type and interaction type.
ALL_ON_TWITTER is an
audience_type that includes all users in the United States.
ORGANIC is an
audience_type that includes the set of users who have interacted with organic content belonging to the full promotable (primary) user of the ads account.
CAMPAIGN is an
audience_type that includes the set of users who have interacted with past campaigns.
Availability of insights on these audience types will vary per advertiser account.
You can also easily compare insights between your reached and engaged audiences. Your reached audience refers to users who are viewing your campaign, while your engaged audience includes the users who are actively engaging (responding to, favoriting and Retweeting) with your ads.
ENGAGEMENT is an
interaction_type that returns the set of users who have engaged.
IMPRESSION is an
interaction_type that returns the set of users you have reached.
CONVERSION is an
interaction_type that includes users have converted in the past. This option is available if the ads account has conversion tracking enabled.
Due to any enhancements that may be made to the Audience Insights dashboard, please expect changes to be made on the API functionality.
